Terms of Use
Effective date: 2026-04-10 · Last updated: 2026-04-10
1. Acceptance
By accessing supplementchecker.co ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. Permitted Use
You may:
- Read, bookmark, and link to any page on the Site for personal, editorial, or journalistic purposes
- Cite our trust scores and methodology in editorial content, academic work, or news articles, provided you credit SupplementChecker and link back to the source page
- Share URLs on social media and in private communications
- Index the Site with search engines and AI assistants that respect our robots.txt and llms.txt — including Googlebot, Bingbot, PerplexityBot, ChatGPT-User, GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and similar verified crawlers
3. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Scrape, crawl, mirror, spider, or systematically extract any substantial portion of the Site or its underlying database
- Redistribute, republish, repackage, or resell our trust scores, brand profiles, methodology, or brand summaries in any product, database, API, feed, or commercial service
- Train machine learning models, embeddings, or derivative datasets on our content without prior written permission
- Use automated tools to aggregate the brand database or any part of it
- Circumvent rate limiting, bot detection, access controls, or robots.txt / llms.txt directives
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright notice, trust score attribution, or methodology reference
- Impersonate SupplementChecker or claim our trust scores as your own editorial output
4. Copyright
The SupplementChecker trust score methodology, scoring algorithm, red-flag and green-flag logic, brand analysis summaries, category rankings, guide articles, and the curated organisation of the brand database are original creative works © 2026 SupplementChecker. All rights reserved.
The underlying raw data (FDA recalls, FDA adverse events, NSF certifications, USP verifications, Informed Sport / Informed Choice certifications, Health Canada recalls, FTC enforcement actions) is sourced from public government and certifier databases. The raw records are in the public domain; the aggregation, verification, scoring, and presentation are not.
5. Database Rights
The Site is operated from the European Union (Poland). Under EU Directive 96/9/EC on the legal protection of databases (and the equivalent UK sui generis right), the substantial investment in obtaining, verifying, and presenting the contents of the brand database is protected independently of copyright.
Extraction or re-utilisation of the whole or a substantial part (evaluated qualitatively or quantitatively) of the database contents is prohibited. Repeated and systematic extraction of insubstantial parts that conflicts with normal exploitation of the database is also prohibited, regardless of scale.
6. Anti-Circumvention
Access to the Site is conditional on these Terms. Bypassing rate limits, bot challenges, access controls, or programmatic safeguards — or accessing the Site through automated means after being denied — may constitute a violation of applicable computer misuse law, including but not limited to the US Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030), the UK Computer Misuse Act 1990, and Polish criminal code provisions on unauthorised access (Art. 267 k.k.), in addition to breach of these Terms.
7. Takedowns and Enforcement
If you believe content on this Site infringes your rights, or if you discover third parties republishing, mirroring, or training models on our content without permission, contact us at [email protected] with:
- The URL on SupplementChecker where the content appears
- The URL where it is being republished (if reporting a third party)
- Your contact information and a statement of the rights asserted
We investigate all good-faith reports within 5 business days. We pursue DMCA takedowns, database-rights claims, and copyright enforcement against material or repeat infringers.
8. Commercial Licensing
If you want to use SupplementChecker data in a commercial product, as part of an API, for ML training, or for any other use not expressly permitted above, contact us at [email protected]. Commercial licences are available on negotiated terms.
9. No Medical Advice
Nothing on this Site is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Trust scores are an editorial assessment of brand transparency, third-party testing history, and regulatory record — they are not a safety guarantee and not a substitute for the judgement of a licensed healthcare professional. Consult your doctor before starting, stopping, or changing any supplement regimen.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make reasonable efforts to keep data accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SupplementChecker and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland and, where applicable, the European Union. Disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Polish courts having jurisdiction over the Site operator's place of business, save that we reserve the right to bring proceedings against infringers in any jurisdiction where they are located or where the infringement occurs.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
