Magnesium Brands: Compare Forms, Labels and Evidence
Last updated:
Compare magnesium products by their stated magnesium amount, formulation and current product evidence. A brand’s record for a different supplement does not establish its magnesium product’s status.
Make the amounts comparable
Record the magnesium amount in the Supplement Facts panel, the serving size and the named form. Keep the front-of-pack claim separate from the nutrient amount. For example, a label describing a compound or a blend is not enough to compare two products without their full serving information.
Forms differ in absorption, and magnesium also appears in some medicines. The NIH magnesium fact sheet explains these differences and medication interactions. It does not provide a universal best brand or establish a precise absorption percentage for every commercial product.
A practical comparison worksheet
- Form: copy the full ingredient wording rather than shortening every product to “magnesium.”
- Amount: note the magnesium per serving and capsules, tablets or scoops required.
- Other ingredients: check whether the formula adds vitamins, herbs or sleep-related ingredients.
- Product record: verify the matching formulation and region in the certification source.
- Purchase: compare current price per labeled serving, package size and expiry.
If a company gives a laboratory report, ask which lot it covers and what was tested. A generic manufacturing certificate does not answer the same question as a report for a finished magnesium product. Our table separates the specific product evidence we reviewed from the broader brand review.
Reviewed product records in this category
We currently have matching reviewed records for 0 brands in this category. This counts our review coverage, not all certified products on the market. A missing record means the evidence has not been established here; it is not a finding of no testing.
Read each product’s exact scope. A specific certification can be reviewed while the broader brand is still unrated. We do not generate a best-product ranking from incomplete brand reviews.
We have not yet reviewed a current product certification for this category. This is a gap in our coverage, not proof that no certified products exist.
